We are soliciting animations suitable for children to be shown at the Bilger's Rocks Haunted Halloween Hayride event held annually in October at Bilger's Rocks County Park.

There is no charge for entry and the live screening will be dependent on the Covid-19 status for the overall event. It may be cancelled if the virus situation worsens in the area.

No monetary rewards. Laurels will be given to films accepted and to winners of various categories. Winners and finalists will also recieve Winner Laurels and Judge's Award Laurels for their films. Certificates will be sent to everyone via email who is chosen as a category winner or is a judge's award winner.

There will be winners selected for various subclasses of animations.

Depending on the number of films submitted and their nature, we reserve the right to create additional subcategories as we deem appropriate and to present awards in those categories as well.

1. Short films must be at least 1 minute long, but no longer than 30 minutes.

2. There is no entry fee.

3. Non-English Language Films must be subtitled in English for exhibition at the NAFCo Young Filmmakers Festival

4. All entries that are selected into the NAFCo Young Filmmakers Festival grants the festival the right to use any footage from the screener and all submitted publicity photos, key art, and any other materials sent to us pertaining to this entry for the festival’s promotional purposes, without limitations.

5. Filmmakers retain all rights to their films.

6. If any aspect of the festival is not capable of running as planned because of any cause beyond our control, we may in our sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

7. By submitting the film through FilmFreeway, those submitting the film represent and warrant that they have full legal right and authority to submit the heretofore mentioned film/video project for consideration by the NAFCo Young Filmmakers Group and that all necessary consents, licensing, and approvals have been obtained with respect thereto. They furthermore agree to hold Edward Forrest Frank and the NAFCo Young Filmmakers Group and its sponsors harmless in any and all matters pertaining to the consents, licenses, and approvals of heretofore film/video and/or screenplay project.

8. Submission to the festival is in no way a guarantee of acceptance or nomination into the festival.

Highly recommended film festival for any nature filmmakers out there. We are honoured to have won. Some superb films in the YouTube video which shows clips from all the winning films.

  • There was no program for the festival, all you can find is a video on the youtube channel specifying the awarded ones (and there was absolute quality in them).
Dunno if more details are still to be provided.

    Response from festival:

The entire program is listed on the festival website here: https://eforrestfrank.wordpress.com/nhff-film-schedule/ along with posters and scheduled time when each film was scheduled to be screened. Other events are also listed on the website: https://eforrestfrank.wordpress.com/natural-history-filmmaking-festival/ and the Booth Interviews, the Bush Ilive event, and the workshop by Kirakossian are are online at the groups YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXI3iHRSigCktS0nD5smP_Q so I don't understand the comment.
