Directors Bio ANDREW JAKSCH

Hi, my name is Andy Jaksch. I’m a Melbourne Australia based young filmmaker starting my film ‘career’ at a mature age.
After a lifetime in the construction industry bringing architects and clients creations to reality, I desperately wanted to explore the many story ideas dreamt up over the years and follow my own creative urges. I’m so happy I did. I love this.
After studying photography at an earlier age and being involved in various independent films over the years I decided to take the plunge when I created my first short Thalamos with my long time friend Scotty Robson.
Today is my second film. Both films show my visual ‘production design’ sense and ‘world building’ abilities. Naturally I’m still finding my way as a director, but it's become apparent to me that I love open ended, offbeat stories.
I have found to my surprise that one of the most enjoyable aspect of the film making process is simply collaborating with others. Current collaborating projects include a Comedy Sci Fi Series, a proof of concept Sci Fi Short - Feature and an Aussie Western. All with wonderfully talented people.
