AMY BAKLINI is a filmmaker, actor, and a recent graduate from UCLA’s Professional Screenwriting Program.
She grew up as a competitive tennis player spending her summers traveling around the southwest competing in tournaments. Although she did not play at the collegiate level, she received numerous recruitment letters. There was a problem though...she fell in love with theatre.
Amy has been in the industry for over a decade working on predominantly indie projects. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her degree in theatre from the University of New Mexico. Her senior year she received the Louise Armijo Scholarship and was awarded the Violet C. Moore Award for acting. She spent her junior year abroad studying Drama at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England.

After graduating, she got a job with an indie production company in Los Angeles. While there, she was able to work in various departments learning about the ins and outs of the industry both in front of and behind the camera.
These newly developed skills, learned from the production company, led her to create a film of her own. Amy grew up loving the Star Wars films. In 2015, when the release date of 'The Force Awakens' drew near, she wanted to celebrate the new trilogy. She had an idea in her mind and pushed herself to write and produce her very first short film. Thus became the birth of “Frankie and Jude.” Little did she know that this one little short film would become the first of the beloved "Frankie and Jude" short film series.

Amy's goal is to tell stories that make people laugh, bring people together, and highlight the importance of love.
