up with the times
A cowboy finds himself in Alessandria (IT). He faces his daily life, but in our times and places. His independent, solitary nature mirrors our individualistic immersion in social media, entertainment, and attention-seeking behavior. His aloof gaze towards the surroundings is a metaphor for human negligence towards climate change, portraying a cynical view of a possible future.

Born in the cold Brasov, Romania, in 1995, my name is Girdea Robert Adelin. At the age of 12, my parents decided that the chilly Romanian climate wasn't enough for me, so we packed our bags and moved to the tropical Valdobbiadene, Italy. Gradually, I developed a peculiar love for cinema. It all started with a video camera, some weddings, and an (probably excessive) imitation of the "Grizzly Man" documentary… don’t ask me why.
Then, I made the decision to follow the most exuberant and vibrant academic path: Computer Engineering. You might think, "Ah, another one building robots and creating apps in his free time." Well, you guessed it. I did both, not because I'm particularly fascinated by computer networks. No, I did it because, well, who can resist the thrill of turning caffeine and midnight pizza into something tangible?
However, I thought to add a bit of spice to my life and specialized in Cinema and Media. A lot of people looked at me strangely when I said I was combining engineering and cinema, but now I work in developing new technologies, focusing on Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)… skeptics.
At this moment, I find myself submerged in the world of 360, creating products using VR and AR. It's like building your own universe, but without the mess.
Ahh, I forgot: I love abstraction and misunderstanding; I'm convinced that seeking answers is a personal journey, a digging within oneself. If you can't find me, I'm probably lost fighting the incomprehensible.
Still, like a child in a candy store, I continue to play with technology and cinema and look forward to discovering where this strange but wonderful world can take me.
