Director Biography - Övünç Baran Güvenışık

Övünç Baran Güvenışık, born in Ankara, Turkey, emigrated with his family to Germany in 1986. After graduating from high school in Duisburg, he began studying sociology in Munich. After gaining his first experience in the field of film in Istanbul under Metin Gönen, he began studying film directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. During this time, he was involved in various positions in the realization of films such as "Such Sweet Meadow" (2018/Dramaturgy), "thirty" (2019/leading role) and "Sebastian jumps fences" (2020/production).
