Alicia

A policewoman is reminded of the death of her younger sister during a morning run with her pastor and former teacher. While she is away, her former teacher tries to seek redemption from the pastor as she is guilty of the death of the younger sister. The policewoman overhears the conversation when she returns and struggles to comprehend the truth.

Director Biography - Zhou Yang

Director Zhou Yang is a filmmaker based in Singapore. He is an interactive media graduate that found his passion for film during the last schooling year of his college studies. Together with his friends, Fabian and Makoto, they founded the Atomic Kingfisher Studios and debuted their sci-fi indie film “15th of Sundays” on 15th April 2019. It was nominated for Best Editing at the Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards.

Currently, he is doing short films as a sideline with “Alicia” as his latest project. He loves to explore various themes with keen interest in the drama and thriller genre. Sound is an area of the film he places strong emphasis on and believes good sound enhances the message of the film.

He wishes to one day direct a feature film that explores the meaning of life through the point of view of a superhero that struggles to pay his monthly rent.
