Director Statement

Most of the time gender based violence is not physical, but takes place on a psychological level. ALEXIA’s man is so demanding and she is so in love that her life has become completely dedicated to him. So she doesn’t even feel free to meet a friend. Since she and her men perceive her as not human anymore, she’s portrayed as an housekeeping android. The viewer though doesn’t know that ALEXIA is a real person until she is the one who realizes it, with the help of her friend Giulia.
