Vision: Ahmednagar Film Foundation is a firm believer of phrase “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” - The whole world is one family. It came in existence to create an environment which is healthy and supportive for new filmmakers which will increase love for film making along with the preservation of respective culture. There is plenty of potential talent in developing cities and rural areas which remains undiscovered due to lack of exposure and well cultural nourishment. “Ahmednagar Film Foundation” wants them to participate on our larger platform and wish to nurture people of Ahmednagar to understand the real taste of cinema. A small idea was born against this backdrop which resulted in creation of “International Film Festival of Ahmednagar” (IFFA).
This festival places a focus on presenting cutting edge Media Art and Artist's Film with most of the participants in the short film program identified as Artists or Experimental Filmmaker. IFFA also aims to introduce new forms to the audience. IFFA is becoming a place of intercultural exchange and a platform for an artistic cinematic exploration to the rest of the world.

Given that this is just their second year, IFFA was a very well managed festival. The organizers looked really passionate about the event. Interactions I had with the organizers, jury and fellow film makers were really valuable.

I have attended the IFFA, and it was a spectacular event with all the wonderful films and wonderful people of the amazing city.
There are 1000 good things about your festival,
It was an wonderful experience in ahmednagar.
Congratulations on successful completion of 2nd IFFA.
But there are few things , that I could suggest for the betterment and improvement of the festival!

    1. Since , it's an international event .. at least announce general instructions on stage in English..
People coming from outside just do not understand the basic announcements too...

Eg. If there are 5 filmmakers coming from abroad and attending the festival and they are
not even understanding the basic general announcements, inauguration announcement,
They would never ever recommend the festival to
anybody else. We have to conduct the festival in Marathi, but side by side tell general announcements in English so everyone will understand.that's my point.1

    2. Just provide simple tea, coffee at least for the participants alone , there was barely 28 films and given there are 28 filmmakers inside( it would cost less than 1000 RS but it will make a huge difference in ur hospitality)

    3. (Most important point)
There is no award category for Animation
Guys, please understand it's a disrespect to
    Animation Filmmaking field itself...
Being an international film festival, it's kind of a
    Basic necessity category for Animation.
If you don't understand the pain or u have no idea of animation Cinema , do not invite animation films or student. it's a total disrespect towards animation Cinema.
As a student , without parents support , without college support we sacrifice our lives for making animation Cinema , that even nobody would care in this country, nobody is even ready to fund art animation.
It's okay I understand your festival has some norms..
But at least, put a separate award category for Animation(we are not even asking student category) from next IFFA or don't invite animation films ( it's fair for animated films to compete against big live action films)

    4. At least a participation certificate for the Selected filmmakers who come all the way to ahmednagar from all around the world.
I can say you can afford printing charges.

    5. See, if IFFA is a local film festival ..u can conduct as you wish and nobody is going to interfere in your norms..
But am telling all this because IFFA is an international film festival. it has a lot of potential to be a even bigger festival in coming years.

Please forgive me if I said anything wrong!

    Divakar SK,
    Animation Filmmaker
