Dancing was my hobby since I was a child but my love and passion for it has made me take this as my career. I wanted to deepen knowledge on contemporary dancing so I decided to study dance at Dance and Body Studies (Poznań University of Social Sciences Founded by Professor Michał Iwaszkiewicz) in Poznań, Poland which I graduated in 2016. I have learned different dance forms: from classical dance to physical contemporary and improvisation including performative skills. Art has always accompanied me which is why I played drums many years, I attend live concerts. After that I turned my interest to work with camera, dance films and started working on directing my own video projects. If I have to choose what influences the most for me as a human beeing, a women, an arist, a dancer (including creativity) is fundamentally music. We can create music by moving our bodies, singing, playing instruments, also by doing nothing – silence also has sound even if we only hear thoughts dancing in our head, quoting Simon&Garfunkel „No one dared, distrurb the sound of silnece”. In my dancing I’m interested in the natural physicality and economy of movement, using the rhytm of music.
In my work I try to connect this all together, this is what inspire me to create and direct my projects, movies.
In these days I cooperate with proffesional filmmaker from Poland - Jan Gierach https://jangierach.pl/.
