Director Biography - Carlos Jiménez Lucas

Carlos Jiménez Lucas is a young Spanish director who was born in Madrid. He’s currently finishing up his master’s in Filmmaking and Directing at the EFTI school. Ever since he was young, he’s shown an interest in storytelling. Over time, he realized that the stories he was really passionate about were the ones that were in some way connected to the human experience — stories that, with some luck, pull at the audience’s heartstrings. His first release, VACÍO, saw major success online. With DESPIDE A TU FUCKBOI, he’s looking to take the next step in his career. At the moment, he can be found working on the postproduction of his third short, VUELVE A CASA, which marks a big change for Carlos and finds him dabbling in new genres: in this case, horror.
