After The Heat
Quentins post robbery paranoia is building. What went wrong? Where have his colleagues gone? Are they screwing him over? Is he safe? When will they return? What will he do next?
With our super low budget thriller, After The Heat, we wanted to explore the initial moments of when criminal paranoia starts to set in. Let us introduce you to Quentin, a member of an organised crime group, who has found himself left alone in a safe house that he's never been to before.

Sam is a director and cinematographer from Upton (Buckinghamshire, UK) who has a keen interest in exploring the gap between documentary and fiction. He studied Media and Cultural Studies at University of the Arts, London, and has since spent time developing scripts and treatments for films he plans to make in the future.
After The Heat was co-directed with Kevin Lanre. Together, Kevin and Sam have a gritty visual style and seek to achieve a sense of Britishness in their work. This desire to create a visual discourse that has a sense of home territory yet unfamiliar discomfort allows them to critique the environment they find themselves in, and reflect on what identity is, often in a surrealist manner.
This project was co directed with the writer, Kevin Lanre. We wanted to make this film to test ourselves and see what we could make from a budget that was next to nothing. We spent around £36 in total making After The Heat. I think that learning how to make films from nothing is extremely beneficial and will help us achieve something even better when there is a bit of money to play with.
