The Women with Warm Hands

Commited to the practice of natural childbirth, midwives from northern Mexico look for validation of their work, while several private and public health institutions discriminate them and try to block their labour. Nonetheless, these women’s convictions, based on knowledge, empathy and trust, are strong; many pregnant women come to them, looking for their wisdom and enormous capacity to listen, understand and guide the future mothers trough pregnancy and childbirth.

Director Statement

The protagonist develop themselves in distinct environments and they are different one from each other, but they share the same vision as how to treat their patients.

The preparation, dedication and love with which they develop their work, make them an example in their own environments, because what they do has a huge and permanent impact in the mothers, their babies and, therefore, the whole society.

They are kind, sensible and inspirational women with a complete different and human vision of life.
As I started learning about the important role that they play in society, I started feeling the need to get to know them better and tell the whole world their amazing stories.

Las protagonistas son mujeres amables, con una visión muy humana de la vida, son sensibles e inspiradoras, al darme cuenta de la importancia de estos personajes sentí la necesidad de conocerlas más a fondo y contar sus historias por lo significan para el mundo.
