This ain't your momma's typical film festival! Acting UP Network wants to showcase brilliant women and support this international event by helping female film makers advance their careers. The owners Jodie Panek and Nicole Callahan, (brilliant women in their own right) are guaranteeing at least 3 agents/managers/producers to the screening! If you, or any of your cast or crew, are looking for representation, this is the event for you. That’s right! Agents, managers and producers watching YOUR film! (Pick jaw up off floor.)

Here’s the short of it:
- Enter Film for $25 in order to be considered.
- Film Length is Maxed at 15 minutes
- RESTRICTIONS: The director of the film MUST be a woman! And they must be able to attend the screening in Burbank on the 10th. Acting UP Network wants the panel of industry guests to meet you and speak to you!
- You will be notified by September 4th if you’ve been selected for the screening.
- Then it goes REALLY fast! So make sure you are ready to hand over a screening copy of your film along with bios of those members of your cast & crew who are looking for representation. A booklet will be made for the panel of judges so they get to know a little bit about you and can contact you after the event.
- On the night of the screening, the panel will view 5 blocks of films in 20 minute increments followed by a Q & A with you, your crew and cast.
- Note, the theater is intimate. Priority will be given to the panel, then to the filmmakers. But if you can’t sit in the screening of your film you’ve seen a million times already, then rest assured, there will be a reception area with wine and cheese to mingle with other film makers, their cast and crew. Judges are invited to stay after the final screening to mingle as well.
