Private Project

me's en abyme

A hand-processed 16mm film that interweaves film strips with the voices of 15 women poets to reveal a unified narrative exploring what it means to be a woman artist in the 20th century. The waves of the feminist struggle are recapitulated in the individual journeys of each poet, and through the filmmaker herself, as we develop our artistic voices.
