A random passerby goes through a shortcut in the labyrinth of St. Petersburg yards. Occasionally he hears the music played by someone upstairs and the music sharpens his perception. So the shortcut way becomes a journey of the reflection and self-understanding. The journey becomes more and more mysterious and philosophical, ending with sudden exit back to main street. On the street, another random passerby sums up this journey in a fleeting short-talk.
