Evangelos Rikoudis was born in Thessaloniki and he is a playwright, director and actor.
He studied and performed under Karolos Koun at the Theater of Art in Athens. In his plays he explores unlikely protagonists searching meaning in an often absurd world. His plays have been performed at the Greek State Theater and theaters throughout Greece. In 2010, he founded the Theater Anatoli in Thessaloniki where he directs and performs works by Greek and foreign authors.
In 2006 the 47th Thessaloniki International Film Festival created a new category “Digital Wave” and for the first time accepted digital video movies rather than only film-based submissions. Evangelos Rikoudis’ film “Next Stop Goa” was accepted in this new category.
In 2007 the film “Handle with Care” was accepted and received the honor of the “Digital Alexander”.
Both films were exclusively shown at the IFF Thessaloniki. The current film is a new director’s cut based on the two films incorporating new scenes to tell the complete story.
