ABANDONO

This film experiences the experimental cinema itself, accompanying a communication established between abandoned place - in Rio de Janeiro city center - and artisan, who gaves bodily passage to the present sensations, psycho-emotional interferences and spiritual states of that space. Through the degraded state of this local, as well as his reflection on the artist, the film opens the precedents for a dense discussion on political and socio-human issues regarding the violent act of abandoning - being a image of abandonment state. Bodiless Neonaturalism? Spiritual Neo-Dada? The film appears as a gray stain as an affirmation of a space-time that is alive but denied. For being distributed in this moment that Brazil is haunted by the possible return of hospices whose endorsement for "treatments" such as electroshock are foundations, it's also a manifesto. Mute, this artwork has multiple interpretive paths. The film portrays the margins in the middle, or not; Sensorial, he is never the same.

Director Biography

Has a degree in Dramatic Arts from E.T.E Martins Penna, a Cinematographic Screenplay from Cinema Nosso, Photography from Spectaculu and is currently studying Performing Arts at PUC-Rio - all in Brazil. He has a career in both worlds: dance and theater. His experience goes through various artistic fields, such as: CUFA - Central Única das Favelas (Freestyle and Break Dance), Cia. Lúmini (Contemporary Dance, solo and aerial acrobatics), CreativeLab (performance), Nós da Dança (Ballet, Jazz and Modern Dance), Nomadic College (Axis Syllabus), Ballet du Nord (he had been invited to join the Brazilian ensemble of the dance-theater show "Les Mémoires D'un Seigneur"), Cia. Depois do Ensaio (with theatrical shows of comedy dell'arte presented in circuits SESC and in important festivals, such as the National Festival of Barbacena), etc. Was professor of corporal expression for teenagers and children at public schools in the suburb of Rio de Janeiro\Brazil. His last work was a dadaist happening, developed for Studio Cabaret Voltaire, in a partnership between Brazil and Switzerland, presented at Tempo Festival 2018, at Oi Futuro Flamengo.
