Director Biography - R. Alan Ingalls

R. Alan Ingalls is a filmmaker and photographer with a passion for music, macchiatos, and just about anything with a motor. Alan’s fascination with cameras began in Texas through childhood experiments using his grandmother’s VHS camcorder. Now based in a tiny Tennessee town about 100 miles north of Memphis, that curiosity has evolved into a full-time career in commercial filmmaking and photography. Since 2015, Alan has spent his days shooting and editing marketing videos and product photography for Rough Country, an industry-leading manufacturer of automotive accessories that enable and enhance off-road adventures. Alan also owns and operates The Attention Company, a video production company he established in 2020, where he spends his nights and weekends filming and editing short films, music videos, and other commercial video projects. Alan’s current career goal is to work on larger projects with bigger budgets to unlock new challenges, opportunities, and audiences.

The concept for “Slow Dancing” by A Band Of Jones was a simple one. Capture a couple enjoying each other’s company at the beautiful Big Hill Pond State Park in Pocahontas, TN and of course doing a little ‘slow dancing.’
