A Shepherd

Shepherding was born with man. It made the shepherd almost immune from the violent overtures of nature and therefore -in a certain sense- rich: "pecunia" comes from the Latin "pecus: the sheep". Over the millennia the pastor's fate has not changed. Freedom is his wealth, and he has remained free."

Director Biography - Gabriel Alejandro Calore

Alejandro Calore is a Film Director, specialized in Documentary, and Principal of REAL&SHORT® Films.

Born in Argentina and graduated from the Escuela de Cine y TV de Rosario, with his project REAL&SHORT® he quickly became a world leading renowned, building his award-winning reputation in less than 3 years.

After shooting hundreds of Documentaries in enchanting locations across the world such as Argentina, United Kingdom, France, Ibiza, Monaco, Italy, Austria, Spain, Colombia, India, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Uruguay and Brazil, he decided to based in Italy -the cradle of Art- to continue creating inspiring Film Operas and sharing his unique approach with the international community of filmmakers.

Alejandro bases his approach in simple cinematographic rules which define his non conventional style and inimitable artistry. He takes on a Documentary approach to find the story and sublimate the emotions of people, places and events he captures. He then artistically and cinematically interprets those pieces, in order to generate a consistent Short Film full of originality, cleverness and sensitivity, much closer to a painting.

His Operas are constantly reviewed in specialized publications and have been premiered and presented in various film festivals across the globe, spanning from America to Asia. He also has memberships in various organizations related to Filmmaking in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, United States, Spain, Italy, Russia, France and Austria.
