Naomi Zwaenepoel grew up on the coast of Belgium in Ostend and has a strong affinity with the sea. In 2024, she obtained her master's degree in audiovisual arts from Luca School of Arts Sint-Lukas in Brussels. During her studies she worked as an art director for short and feature films. The focus in her work as a director is on the connections between the sea, the landscape the non-human and history.
