Anne-Sarah Le Meur (1968, France) studied first mathematics then computer art. After her PhD in media art, she got a research-teaching position in Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University in 2000. Under the influence of painting (Pollock, Rothko…) and James Turrell, she creates 3D images using programing language. She is known for her organic, sensual and enigmatic abstract 3D images.
She exhibits regularly in France and in Europe (ZKM_Karslruhe, Germany, with 2 installations and 2 performances), with some events in Russia, Brazil, Korea and Japan. Galerie Charlot, Paris – Tel Aviv, has been representing her since 2011.
I explore pictoriality and plasticity of 3D abstract image through programming language and numbers. I create non realistic light phenomena using a black-negative virual light.
