Zoi
ZOI is a multidisciplinary artistic experimentation through human condition and its variations on emotional states, interpreted through different artistic fields.
It started as a photography project; in 2016 I travelled around the world, asking woman from different cultures and ethnicities how they were currently feeling with their heart. Within every emotional state I created a different concept and the only constant was to have the heart always literally present on each photograph.
I collected all the photographs and discover certain patterns on them, so I placed them in eight categories of international emotional states.
Zoi is an attempt to interpret all this emotional human states through different artistic fields such as writing, dance, art direction, music and of course motion picture. After writing the script, I invited artists from different fields to collaborate in the project in order to interpret this emotional states and see if they were truly international human states. The viewer is the only one that can y provide the answer on how effectively this emotional states are transmitted and filed.
Story plot:
Zoi is a dancer trapped in a world of monotony and boredom. In order to change this condition she will start a journey through all the versions of herself and letting literally her heart out to guide the way.
On this journey, Zoi will radically change scenarios and experience different states such as: depression, anger, letting go, learning to be present and be empowered, all in order to find an equilibrium.
Zoi is an artistic experimental expression of human kind, and all the possibilities that any human have inside.

Hopefully one day will understand that emotions are international and all humans can relate to them.
