Zinen
There are two words for nature in Japan: Shizen and Zinen. Shizen is a word created in the late Meiji Era as a translation of the English word Nature, which has the idea of separating humans from nature by considering nature as an object. Zinen is an ancient Japanese word derived from Buddhism, meaning to be as it is, and includes everything that exists, including human beings. Our dear friend, Tony lives in symbiosis with other beings, sometimes taking their lives to live.

Thanks for watching my film. I travel the world and make films to get deeply involved with local people and portray society through their eyes. I believe all documentaries are fiction because we need to edit and recompose, and my challenge is to try to lessen my voice to reflect their points of view.
