Over the years, my work has taken many forms as I experiment with various methods and materials. This experimentation has led to a loose and playful workflow, allowing me to move beyond dependence on any specific medium. I embrace the idea of not being an expert in one area; when I start to understand something too well, I find myself eager to explore new avenues. Life and art thrive on change—whether it’s the shift between comfort and discomfort, the changing seasons, or the transition from life to death. Change fuels my creativity, as it brings about new beginnings. Creativity is like water; it starts to stink when it stagnates. Therefore, I constantly reinvent myself and my creative methods.
My goals are to entertain and inspire through creativity and storytelling. Play is central to my artistic practice, and I often focus on vibrant characters and absurd narratives. I love to use whatever materials are available to tell the stories I want to share. In my work, rough stitching, bold brush strokes, and visible lines are intentional choices. These elements help viewers gain insight into the creative process behind the piece. Just like in Vincent van Gogh’s paintings, where each brushstroke is evident and traceable, I believe that making these creative decisions visible makes art more accessible. It highlights that skills, tools, and techniques are secondary to imagination, creativity, and the story one wishes to convey.
