Zebull

The photo was taken in August 2020 in Kitui one of the dry areas in the eastern province of Kenya. I took the photo to capture the moment where the cattle were engrossed in enjoying the dry grass towards the end of the dry season as the rainy season was at hand. It had been a couple of months since it last rained in the region and the fascinating thing is that these cattle had been fattened during the rainy period so that they would survive the dry periods. I took the photo when the herdsmen were taking the livestock around the field by pausing in position and waiting for the cattle to pass my way.
