Director Statement

Zahra is a teenage girl, and she lives in a traditional and religious family. She loves acting and is very interested in the “Joker” character. At school, Without the permission of her family, she approaches the theater group and realizes that she can join their group when she attends their party. She agrees to attend their party. This party is not an ordinary party and it has been prepared for Zahra to lose her virginity, her virginity caused her to be ridiculed at school. Zahra faces the biggest challenge of her life, a challenge that may leave her with no way back!

The next issue mentioned in this film is the influence of foreign cultures among the new generation of Iranians (The items mentioned in the film: Romeo and Juliet Theater, comic book characters, Halloween party and …). Iran's traditional and religious context gradually loses its value and is replaced by intercultural relations. Society and the government, because they can not adapt to change, usually resort to force, and the government usually fights with the hijab police against the bad hijab of the people. The school’s theater group is a Symbol of new culture among Iranian teenagers. At the end, Zahra enters to new stage of her life and the deletion of "H" from her name shows this. The new generation is on the rise, and they are fighting hard against the forces that are blocking their liberty!

The story of the film is told by intertextual relations between life, theater and cinema. For example, the character "Elahe":
1. As "Elahe", she sees Zahra as a representative of a group that was deprived of her liberty and seeks revenge on her.
2. As "Juliet", she seeks to calm down "Romeo"(Shervin) and tries to introduce Zahra and Shervin to each other.
3. Finally, as Vendetta, she seeks to strengthen the group.
