Aaapki Poojita

Aaapki Poojita is the story of trying to cross the gaping chasm between what we are taught about how life works, and how the world actually works. Poojita is a TV star who was raised on the sets of her Doordarshan-era series. Her understanding of life, family, the world itself is limited to the simplistic, idealistic writing of the series. But her world is turned upside down when her serial is cancelled and she, along with the actors who played her family, are thrown into the scary, chaotic, real world. With only her fake family for company, Poojita's innocent outlook is constantly tested as they try to raise themselves up from poverty back into the sweet life, as we see what happens when the idea of India meets the reality of India.
