Growing up in the small town of Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, Harvey had limited opportunity and interaction with film as a pursuable career, but always had a fascination for the visual arts. Though, until he was sixteen, he was heart-set on becoming an actor, this all changed when he began an A-level ‘Moving Image Arts’ course that sent him down the path of filmmaking behind the camera. From there, Harvey moved to Norwich at eighteen to study ‘Film and Moving Image Production’ at the Norwich University of the Arts, where he has since graduated from with honours in the summer of 2024. Now, Harvey hopes to continue his career pursuits in filmmaking- Writing, directing, continuing to learn and looking forward to whatever the future may bring.
After taking a year-long break from university on mental health grounds, this is the story I came back wanting to tell. Most of my favourite films are those that are void of good and evil, right and wrong, films that show humanity for what it is: grey, complex and much more interesting than we usually give it credit for. This story is my best version of that, there's a lot of myself and my own experiences explored in there, which is partly why I chose to play Elliott myself, something I never could've achieved without the help of the amazing crew I was lucky enough to have working alongside me.
