Darren Brade is a London based filmmaker with a background in photography. Originally from the historical city of Leicester, England.
Your Heart is Homeless is the third short he has written and directed under the Peripheral Vision Films banner with co-producer/writer Wesley Mahoney
When I wrote 'Your Heart is Homeless' I wanted to tell the story of the many people who lead a double, struggling to come to terms with their sexuality. Coming out is hard for anyone and not everyone does, some lead a double life and have secret meetings whenever they can. I also wanted to explore "gay panic" which is rarely in the news, but gay men often talk about scary encounters they have.
While this story is fictional, it is based on my own experiences and encounters over the years and will hopefully be relatable to other gay men who have had similar encounters.
