Young, but it will pass
A routine job interview captures a young man in a period of emotional instability. He can’t tell the line between honesty and provocation and the interview becomes more and more like a confession… or a one-man show.
This work exists at the intersection between feature and documentary film. Anton, the leading actor, plays the role of himself. The script was written based on the real stories from Anton’s life, so that gives the audience an opportunity to explore a real person.

Nastya (1993, Kyiv, Ukraine) became passionate about author cinema at the age of 15. In university, she studied philosophy. During her studies, Nastya developed a topic of philosophical reflection of author cinema. In 2018 she finished the Sergey Bukovsky documentary film program. ‘Young, but it will pass’ is her first directorial work.
“Young but it will pass” is a film-portrait made with one long shot, almost without camera movement, which makes the viewer intently peer into the character. We can’t see any of two women. In a sense, the viewer is actually the one who conducts the interview, who is challenged to determine what the character feels.
Anton, the leading actor, plays the role of himself. The script was written based on the real stories from Anton’s life, so that gives the audience an opportunity to explore a real person. I believe that truth is always touching.
