Get your creative juices flowing while you are stuck at home. Introducing the Young Voices Fast Film Festival. You have 2 weeks to write, film, and edit a short film showing your perspective on life. It can be funny, serious, simple, or complex. Story is the focus. You don't have to be a professional, or have professional equipment so there are three categories - phone film, traditional, and screenwriting.

Phone Film - shot exclusively on a camera phone.

Traditional - Any film can be entered in this category no matter the production technique.

Screenwriting - If you have a story to tell, but don't have the ability to film it enter in the screenwriting category and share your story.

Open to anyone under the age of 30.

Film must be between :30 second - 5 min in length. Screenplays should be no longer than 5 pages.

A panel of people working in film and creative fields will critique and judge all the films and the top 5 from each category will be included in a live stream screening on Sunday, April 26, 2020.

Top 5 Films in each category get live streamed at our special Easter screening.
- Film makers will be invited to join a special online Q&A during the live stream.

Best Story - The best story either in film or screenplay can win a top prize of $100

Best in Group - The top film and screenplay in each category will be eligible for a $50 prize.

All major participants of the Young Voices Festival must be under the age of 30. This does not include actors or talent, but does include producer, director, cinematography, editing, etc.

Young Voices Festival is produced through a local church. While content does not have to be exclusively “Christian” or “Biblical”, films that do not adhere to the following content guidelines may be disqualified from competition and all prizes:
- No gratuitous violence or blood. Some stories may contain depictions of violence to further the telling of the story, but should not be the main focus.
- No cursing
- No nudity

Films and screenplays must be written, filmed, and edited within the two week festival period (March 29-April 12, 2020)

All submitted screenplays must be formatted in standard screenplay format.

All talent must have a model release on file with the filmmaker, and minors must have a release signed by parent(s) and/or guardian(s). It is the filmmaker’s responsibility to get all applicable releases and permissions for use in their films.

Restoration Church (“Young Voices Festival” “Fuse Youth” henceforth “sections”) are hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Restoration Church and its sections from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

By submitting your film to Restoration Church or its sections you commit to a possible public screening of your film with Young Voices Festival. Films submitted may be moved, at the programmer’s discretion, within sections

Restoration Church and its sections reserve the right to remove any film from competition at any time, without prior notification, for any reason deemed appropriate by the organizers.

Restoration Church and its sections are not liable for the return of films which have been submitted for screening or adjudication.

Restoration Church and its sections do not pay screening fees.

Restoration Church and its sections reserve the right to cancel and/or change screening dates without prior contact.

Filmmaker understands that submitting to multiple sections does not improve their chances of screening.
