You Do Not Know Me
Tulsa artists Amri' Littlejohn and Kelanni Edwards are spoken word activists who wield their poetic prowess into passionate performance in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement. With
captivating candor, Amri' and Kelanni speak on themes of Black Liberation, Women's Independence, and police state violence within the frame of Tulsa's violent history, as well as its correlation to the overlying white supremacy that runs deep within America's veins.

It has been an incredible honor working alongside such an incredible, passionate, dedicated young creative team. Ever since I first heard Kelanni Edwards and Amri' Littlejohn perform this spoken word piece in 2018, it has never left my mind. Their poetic words echoed in my brain the loudest after witnessing the tragic and unjust murder in July that took the precious life of George Floyd. I just knew I had to turn "You Do Not Know Me" into a spoken word film to voice the lamentations that many people felt. That many people still feel. Shot in front of the historically Black Historic Buford Colony Church of God in Christ, "You Do Not Know Me" utilizes an unparalleled rustic approach to address important matters plaguing the Black community in Tulsa, and beyond.
As the 100-year centennial of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre approaches, I hope this project and countless others stand as an artistic testament to the strength and resilience Black Tulsans still and will forever have to speak up for and have pride in themselves. There is only on Black Tulsa, and we will always represent!
