Brian Russell grew up in Connecticut. He is a Director and Director of Photography who knows he should focus, but loves all kinds of production.
He accidentally started shooting and editing video a while back, and realized he could have fun while working for a living! He has shot over 2,000 interviews, and has hundred’s of credits to his name, ranging from the ESPN 30 for 30 short The Counterfeiter, to celebrities like Arianna Huffington, Ed Burns and the entire cast of Saturday Night Live.
My buddy Mike Boland is an actor with tons of stage & screen credits including Broadway itself. And he writes. We both love movies, but most films seem to focus on either young folks, or older folks. Mike wrote this as a feature film, and I just fell in love with the chemistry and the everyday beauty of these two characters. They felt a little kooky and a little goofy, but also grounded and real. And we got lucky enough to have Tonya Cornelisse jump on board, and holy moly she is just amazing. She's already been in lots of movies and TV, but she really needs to be a star! I know I'm bragging, but seriously ... this short is just a little piece of something magical.
