Yiran Wang, born and raised in China and now based in Vancouver, is a writer-director with a passion for visual storytelling. She graduated from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Italy and the Vancouver Film School in Canada, building a strong foundation in art and design. Yiran further honed her focus on film production and scriptwriting, and her diverse background provides a unique perspective, allowing her to blend various cultural influences into her films.
With a focus on crafting stories that resonate with audiences, Yiran has begun her career with notable recognition. Her short film, "Run Hide Fight" (2023), won an award at the Florence International Film Festival and was selected by the Lift-Off Global Network and several other festivals. Her screenplay, "ECHO" (2024), received a nomination for Best Short Screenplay at the Rome Prisma Film Awards.
