Yellow Impasto Palette No.1: vignette

'Yellow Impasto Palette No.1: vignette' (2022) is a 10 minute short of an experimental animated film, filmed in VR, made through in-depth exploring of a virtual abstract painting.

It unfolds at a very gradual pace, a process that heightens a mesmeric quality, in an attempt to ask for a different type of relationship with the viewer, one that is deliberate and lingering. This approach is more akin to traditional physical painting, hence its description as a 'slow painting'.
