“Year project”

The film “Year project” is a surreal story where the main heroine makes a film, by her design, about one contradictory person who has some extrasensory abilities. Does this person really exist? Did she make him a part of real tragic events which happened to the heroine, her friends and colleagues? That’s a mystery. The viewer can have a lot of questions: Who is that heroine? Is she mad? Is she that one who is involved in her fantasy world at a time when a girl in a country town is murdered violently? Or everything is much more complicated than we can imagine. Is the heroine just a witness of those events or a guilty one? Will the murder be solved? Who’s in the right? Are the actions of all characters clear? Is it really important to understand it if there can be a fight between the powers of light and darkness inside the heroine with her split personality? The film has a lot of questions and secret messages. This film is a riddle which the view will have to solve.

Director Biography - Lenika Zelenina

Lenika Zelenina, Writer, director, producer
Was born in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukrain. She graduated the
University of Chemical Technology. In 2008 she entered
to the St. Petersburg University of Film and Television (Russia), workshop of Vitaly Aksenov, than workshop of Karen Gevorkyan.
Also she studied at School of Cinema «Kinooko» (workshop of Sergey Ovcharov)
Her film by "live" camera in "home-video" style «I came to You to lodge forever and I don’t wish to make You sad…» won the prize « Вest feature –short film» of the festival of student films Piterkit-2011 (Petersburg). Also this film won prize «Вest director work» of the national shot-film festival «PRO- vzglyad»-2012 and was a member of the international film festival "FESTIVAL OF FESTIVALS" -2012
Lenika tried to shoot films in different genres, made several documentaries. Some times ago she made a feature full film “Year project” - a surreal story, mystical drama, and short film “Casting“- a criminal story, triller. At the moment, has been promoting films for festivals and writes scripts for her new movie. She is the Director of the author's independent cinema, all Lenika`s films written and directed by herself.
Lenika is the citizen of Ukrainian, but at this time lives in Russia in St. Petersburg
