An educational short film showing how a house can be designed and constructed to include over 100 sustainability features. It shares the lessons learned. The house was completed in 2009 and won the Gold Coast HIA CSR GreenSmart Energy Efficiency Award. Since then more solar panels and two batteries have been added making it virtually self-sufficient. The house contains solar hot water, real-time monitoring system and significant recycled content, including old tram tracks and bridge timbers. This mini 'Grand Designs' inspired film seeks to inspire people to try similar designs and concepts, to make housing more sustainable.
