YEAR THE FIRST. A screenplay about the first year of the Russian-Ukrainian war
The story is a tragedy of a Russian mother, her son - the commander of the Russian special forces, and her daughter - a Ukrainian sniper during the Russian-Ukrainian war. Russian aggression, similar to the invasion of wild barbarians, leads to a deadly clash between a brother and a sister who love each other, which manifests the absurdity of today's war.
The action begins in 2014 during the seizure of Crimea by Russia. It continues in Ukraine during 2022. The confrontation, created by Russian aggression, between a brother from Russia and a sister from Ukraine ends tragically for both.
