The Variants of Xiushanosteus Mirabilis
The Xiushanosteus Mirabilis is currently the earliest known jawed fish fossil with a fully preserved head and tail(436M years ago). Some archaeologists believe that human ancestors were fish, and many important organs and body structures of humans can be traced back to the early evolution of jawed dinosaurs.
So we have a reason to believe that the imbalance of ecosystems has also accelerated the evolution of other species, and underwater creatures that cannot survive will mutate into land-adapted forms.
The whole work is a visual art work consisting of two channels/two soundtrack screens and an installation of a Northern Thai style living room. It aims to explore the complex and subtle relationship between humans and fish, as well as the unpredictable consequences of damaged water systems.
