XINGU NARRATORS

A recording crew goes to the Xingu Indigenous Park in center west of Brazil to make a documentary about indigenous games. After several days of filming, they decide to narrate an epic that goes beyond the games, and talk about environmental and political issues and the experiences they had during the exchange with indigenous people of 16 different ethnic groups.

Director Biography - Danilo Kamenach

Born in the Midwest of Brazil, he graduated in advertising, post-graduated in audiovisual and specialized in cinema. Working as Director, Executive Producer and Screenwriter at Kam Filmes, he has directed, produced and scripted hundreds of commercials, corporate films, short films, feature films, TV series and documentaries. His works are dedicated to content related to the environment, indigenous communities and sustainability.

Director Statement

This film was produced to document indigenous games in the Xingu Indigenous Park. During the recordings, the production team highlighted the importance of indigenous communities in preserving the environment and forest reserves. This film also warns about the impacts of agribusiness that advances towards Brazil's main environmental reserves in the legal Amazon, which is an important region for the global climate balance.
