The Wyoming Short Film Festival is a film festival dedicated to showcasing the talent of independent short film creators, located in Wyoming, USA, and features innovative and inspiring works from around the world. Since our inception, our goal has been to provide a platform for constantly maintained and experienced filmmakers to showcase their unique perspectives and narrative art. Each year, the festival invites directors, screenwriters, and film critics to come together to promote the art of short films through screenings, discussions, and interactions.

Award presentation and closing ceremony

Film Genres and Formats:
WYSFF accepts all types of films, including narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, and student films. Both short and short films are acceptable.
Video Length:
Clips must be less than 30 minutes long.
The length of the microfilm must be less than 5 minutes.
Language Requirements:
Films that are not in English must have English subtitles.
All dialogue needs to be subtitled, so even native English speakers can understand it.
Originality:
Videos must be original and must not infringe the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
Selection Process:
Films will be judged by a panel of industry professionals based on originality, storytelling, technical execution, and artistic vision.
Only selected films will be screened during the festival.
Screenings:
Selected films will be screened at official WYSFF venues in Wyoming, and may also be considered for online screenings with prior consent from the filmmaker.
Copyright:
By submitting a film, the filmmaker confirms that they own all rights to the submitted work, including music and visual effects, or have the appropriate licenses.
Promotional Purposes: WYSFF reserves the right to use clips, stills, and promotional materials from selected films for marketing and promotional purposes related to the Festival.
Liability:
The Film Festival is not responsible for any copyright disputes arising from the submitted films.
Code of Conduct:
WYSFF is committed to fostering an environment that is respectful, inclusive, and free of harassment. Any discrimination, misconduct, or violation of the festival policy will result in disqualification and disqualification from the event.
Attendees are expected to adhere to venue policies and be respectful of festival staff, volunteers, and other attendees.
Technical Guidance:
Footage must be submitted in a high-quality digital format to ensure the best viewing experience.
Entries with technical issues such as poor resolution, incomplete files, or missing subtitles may be disqualified.
