Wrinkle
A Synopsis
“And as each new character is merely a metamorphosis from something older…”
Marcel Proust
At the beginning, he hangs head down symbolizing his place in the world where he lives without even knowing that he is a stranger to himself. Later on, we see his close relationship with his beloved, he shares his thoughts about how he is familiar with his own laughter, which actually belonged to his teacher at school.
Then we see how he wanders in the forest and faces “himself”. Later on, he sits in a dark room in front of a mirror and reflects on the possibility of completely different wrinkles and facial expressions of his face, if he laughed not in the likeness of his teacher, but himself. Then he again finds himself in the forest, and this time he is followed by “himself” to the end of the path.
Next, he holds "himself" in his hands in an unconscious state in the river. He leaves him face down in the river, standing with his back to him. In the continuation, he peacefully and slowly enters the clear water next to his beloved. In the next frame, the door opens into his world by standing upside down after his “self-knowledge".
The essence of the film is in the eternal search of the man for himself. Nowhere can a person more truly escape from himself than by engaging in self-knowledge. It is not in “self-knowledge” that a person will find himself, but when he is forgotten, he will break out of the rut, where he sank deeper and deeper into self-digging and is already deadly tired of himself.
