Darkness. The Void. A girl. Darkness again. Leonard can barely remember how he ended up there, let alone why. His pleasures are meager, his delights vulgar and vain. The only remainder from his past is an old picture. A very old picture. One can barely guess what it used to represent. Darkness. The void. An old man. Darkness again. Life in Purgatory.

Director Statement

Filming "Wreathless" was a very intimate and personal process, which was embodied by a loving and very talented group of people. The 8 minute short was born out of a 100 page script, which I kept revisiting for the last 4 years. Ultimately, the film was a look at life and the notion of missed opportunities, as interpreted by the diverse and lively ensemble which constituted the team of " Belladonna" at the time. Filmed on a minimal budget, it was a true challenge to realize the original vision of the film. A challenge, which led to a final work, as odd as the journey itself.
