We have a campground on Historic Route 66 in the Ozarks Bioregion which has been here since 2001 as part of a sustainable design challenge.
As it turns out, media and independent film makers, as well as artists and musicians are crucial to the evolution necessary to save the planet.
Hence, our unique green venue is here to host rising talent, with a message, who are open to green challenges that further inspire their vision.

As a host venue, we let event organizers take care of the financial needs and then ask for an offering if it was successful. The only stipulation is the Buckminster Fuller Challenge criteria which provides a green framework from which submissions can be judged in a fresh manor.

1. Winning the Prize as Historic Studio 66, so that the winnings can be used for for smaller prizes ($10,000).
2. Helping the artist filter their work (Green consulting) via greening of their ideas so that they can enter and win the prize on their own.
3. Hosting a Home grown grassroots festivals at Historic Studio 66 (As a venue for Film makers to utilize) where organizers can showcase their own festival idea for a profit (Then contribute a % of the proceeds to FilmFreeway).

The idea of our Green Studio is to help the artist screen and develop their work enough to enter it into the Buckminster Fuller Prize as a component of the solution (Or as an independent solution). This means there are 3 pathways for funding:
4. The main idea here is the "Greening of Media" in a way that helps have a positive impact on life.
5. Replication of the Buckminster Fuller Prize on a local Ecosystem level is in fact our strategy and macro Film project- Earthday 365!
