Miles Curtiss is a musician and comic book writer who has been on the Columbus arts scene for more than two decades. He is most well known as the frontman of the lo-fi indie pop-punk band Marvin the Robot, and he studied video production at Grand Valley State University.
Art creates community, and communities create art. After a global pandemic that left people isolated, live music is all the more celebratory and communal.
Miles Curtiss is a prominent member of the community in Columbus, Ohio. As he makes his return to live music at the Secret History of Black Punk show, he also gives Columbus a missing piece of the feeling of togetherness that they had lost in recent years.
This film shows a niche of Columbus to the world, and allows everyone to feel the warmth and excitement of the community.
