RULES AND TERMS:
Selection
Film selection for the Festival will be made by the Festival Programming Committee. All filmmakers will be notified via email of acceptance. Awards and prizes will be given to selected films.

Submission
All films must be submitted and paid for through our online submission system. Illegible or incomplete entry forms will not be accepted. Entry forms that do not include full payment of entry fees will not be accepted.

Online Screeners
We will only accept online screeners through the designated system. World Arts Film Festival, its members, directors, employees, and volunteers are not responsible for broken or incorrectly submitted URLs. Submissions may not be withdrawn from the Festival once they have been selected. There are no refunds for entries with incomplete entry forms, or incorrectly formatted preview materials.

DVD Screeners
Submit (2) DVDs Preview copies each clearly marked "For Festival Screening Only" All shipped film submissions on DVD must be shipped prepaid and packed in proper containers postmarked no later than their respective deadlines. The entrant is responsible for ALL SHIPPING FEES.

Entry Fee Waiver - Not available. Please do not ask.

Language - Non-English language films may be made available with the original language soundtrack and English Subtitles.

Review Process
All entries are automatically included in the general World Arts Film Festival Shorts Film Competition. The Festival Programming Committee will review films in their entirety using an anonymous process. The committee are a volunteer group of filmmakers, film enthusiasts, critics, and educators including members with special needs. We will also select films from local filmmakers residing in the host city and state.

Awards
All Awards and prizes are subject to change, and updates to the prize packages will be posted online at WorldArtsFilmFestival.org. All awards will be determined by the Festival Programming Committee. The Festival Programming Committee may choose not to make an award at their discretion.

Acceptance and Contact
Letters of Acceptance will be sent to the email address provided on the entry form. We do not send physical mail — please ensure that your email address is accurate on your application. The Festival is not liable for emails delayed by spam filters, server rejections or outdated email addresses.

Format - All films selected for presentation must be submitted in Digital MP4 or DVD format. All other formats will not be accepted. All entries, and any accompanying materials, will not be returned and become the property of the Festival. There are no refunds for incomplete entry forms or incorrectly formatted preview materials.

Accompanying Materials - Please include a copy of the Entry Confirmation Form printed from the designated company's application with your submission of any physical materials. Incomplete entries will not be considered.

DVD Labeling - If a preview DVD is sent it must be labeled with the film title, running time, tracking # and contact information (including name, email, and phone number).

Shipping
If a film is invited to participate, the film media must be shipped pre-paid, insured and packed in a proper container. Festival will not pay any shipping. Do not send media in fiber-filled packages as the dust can damage your media and our equipment. World Arts Film Festival, its members, directors, staff and volunteers are not responsible for loss, misplaced, and undelivered media.

International Shipping Information
DVDs sent from outside the United States must be accompanied by a commercial invoice (containing the film's title, run time, format-color or b&w, value of shipment and sender's name and address. Festival is not responsible for any packages lost or damaged during shipping. Do Not Value the package any higher than $10 USD. Do not send media in fiber-filled packages as the dust can damage your media and our equipment. World Arts Film Festival, its members, directors, staff and volunteers are not responsible for loss, misplaced, and undelivered media.

Theatrical Screening
Materials and films selected for festival screenings become the property of the World Arts Film Festival and can be used to promote the festival and the programs of the festival including, but not limited, to presentation on, film, television, radio, print, and internet.

By accepting inclusion in World Arts Film Festival, the filmmaker grants non-exclusive rights to showcase their film during the festival in as many screenings as required. This includes the competition screenings and the “Best Of” showcase. In addition, World Arts Film Festival has non-exclusive rights to repeat the showcases throughout the year for educational and fundraising purposes. All ticket sales are property of the World Arts Film Festival production.

Optional Television Broadcast
World Arts Film Festival reserves the non-exclusive right to repeat the various films on local cable access channels in the host city area, screening without compensation to the filmmaker. This is an optional educational program of the festival, created to engage and enrich the public through the art of film.

TERMS and CONDITIONS: Please read this document carefully before you submit your film.
LEGAL: By submitting to World Arts Education’s “World Arts Film Festival” you warrant, as sole and exclusive owner/s of all legal right and title thereto that you have absolute authority to submit the entry to World Arts Film Festival. You will indemnify and hold harmless World Arts Education, ArtLife Productions, and World Arts Film Festival, its judges, its sponsors and partners, its directors, producers, staff, volunteers, individually and collectively, from and against all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses including legal expenses arising out of or in connection with any and all claims, including third party claims, based on films/videos/artworks submitted to World Arts Film Festival.
PUBLICITY: If your film/video/commercial/ music video/promo or other artwork is selected, you expressly grant World Arts Education, ArtLife Productions, and World Arts Film Festival the royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display any and all publicity materials related to the film/video/commercial/music video/promo or other artwork, including but not limited to stills, press releases, bios, and trailers, in whole or in part, without limitation to territory, and/or to incorporate said publicity materials in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed.
YOU GRANT World Arts Film Festival the right to screen your film or video at and as part of the festival. You may NOT and will not withdraw your film or video from consideration once it has been selected for inclusion in the festival AND by accepting inclusion in World Arts Film Festival, you grant non-exclusive rights to showcase the film during as many screenings as required. This includes the competition screenings and the “Best Of” showcase. In addition, World Arts Film Festival has non-exclusive rights to repeat the showcases throughout the year for educational or fundraising purposes. All ticket sales are property of World Arts Film Festival and its producers.
ACCEPTANCE OF REGULATIONS: By signing the entry form for World Arts Film Festival, the participant accepts, without reservation, the terms of the present regulations as stated in this document which constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the use of films and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings regarding such subject matter. No amendment to or modification of this agreement will be binding unless in writing and signed by an authorized representative of World Arts Film Festival. Nothing in this Agreement constitutes a waiver of World Arts Film Festival's rights under the United States of America patent and copyright laws or any other Federal or State law, nor of any of World Arts Film Festival's rights under the rules or laws of any country, territory, republic, and/or province.
