This annual festival is a tribute to Savitribai Phule,A renowned indian social reformer, first women educationalist, and poet from Maharashtra. She is regarded as the first female teacher of India. Along with her husband, Jyotirao Phule, she played an important and vital role in improving women's rights in India. She is regarded as the mother of Indian feminism.
WCAIFF - Mission of this great festival is to present this prestigious award to
those who are working on women issues through Arts & Cinema and also who have immensely and honestly strived their level Best to support women's welfare and development.
Managing Director Mr. Vikrant More and Director Ms. Priya Jaiswal are consistently striving to put forward their views and agendas on the future projects of this subject at national and international level, which will include flim promotions, Releasing, International Distribution, sales companies and also the writers, Directors & Producers whose Skills and works shed lights upon women's issues and their struggle.
This Festival will also provide an interactive platform for selected women to come forward and present their ideas and express their perspective and vision on the struggle of women with people & media globally.
