Bradley is a Director/Writer based in London who has made a number of Award-Winning Short Films and has recently completed WIVES OF THE LANDED GENTRY and UNSTABLE BITCHES in collaboration with Writer/Producer Ziggy Luz.
He has an extensive background in Production having worked on Films including LIFE IN A DAY, RUSH, LOST IN LONDON and JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM. The best four years were spent working as the Assistant to Stephen Frears & Tracey Seaward on PHILOMENA, THE PROGRAM & FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS.
Recently, Bradley has become a Mentor for the BFI Film Academy & Eastside Educational Trust, working with Young Filmmakers from diverse and less privileged backgrounds to guide them in making their first Short Films. He has set up a Script Consultancy/Story Editing service for Short Filmmakers and First Time Feature Filmmakers, providing an invaluable service that he wished was around (and affordable) for himself when he was starting out.
He is currently developing his first feature, and writing/producing features for other filmmakers including Rob Savage, Behnam Taheri and Chris Foggin.
I've always wanted to make a Period Drama. Sophie approached me about making one with her but we didn’t have a script. We had a small window in which to make this happen, so Ziggy knocked out this script which - although set in the past - feels relevant to modern discussions on gender, feminism and sex.
Having been lucky enough to also have worked with Meaghan before, it was a great opportunity to do so again and on something very different.
We pulled every string to get this looking as authentic as possible - from having the costumes made from scratch, finding the perfect location (and begging for it) in Painshill Park, Cobham and Thibault Chavanis recording a score that can stand along the best of the genre.
All in all, we shot this whole film in 6 hours for a total budget of £850 (inc post). It was a sprint that felt like marathon – but I think we made it work.
