Without Community There is No Liberation
The grassroots film "Without Community There Is No Liberation" documents self-organized anti-racist movements and struggles since German reunification from the perspective of people affected by racism. It collects untold stories, experiences and perspectives of different activists and is enhanced by archive footage. Together with activists* from the Black German Community, refugees, descendants of the "guest worker" generation, a Mapuche activist and other contemporary witnesses, the film showcases self-organization, solidarity and places of resistance in the fight against racism, capitalism and (hetero-)sexism.
