Experiencing Interruptions?

With a Promise to Love you Deeply

This is a contemporary folklore centering the journey of two sisters, Jupiter and Saturn, as they travel to the world without time and retrieve their Mother's spirit. With the metaphysical aid of a medicine woman named Grandmother moon, they interact with the four elements of the Yowa cross and speak to the manifestation of our ancestral world, Ku Mpemba.

Director Statement

As I am piecing together the diaspora for myself, this project was sparked from my interest in Bakango cosmology and a deep longing to manifest the connection between black bodies and our spiritual nature.
